ABOUT ME
Welcome – my name is Jodie.
I am a psychologist, mindfulness meditation facilitator and yoga practitioner with over 17 years experience working as a psychologist in private practice clinics and the education sector.
I work with adults (and older adolescents) who are seeking support to navigate stressful life events, create better relationships (with self, and others) and to improve their mental health.
I also work with individuals who are seeking to build a growth mindset, explore deeper personal growth and to generally improve nervous system capacity to better manage daily life stressors.
I use a person-centered and integrative approach, incorporating my skills in mindfulness based therapies, schema informed therapy, emotion focused therapy and other experiential therapies to help people to gain a deeper understanding of their thinking patterns, emotions and needs to support positive changes in their lives.
My ultimate aim is to support people to access their own innate wisdom, their ‘inner-leader’ or ‘healthy adult self’ to make empowered choices, that allow for living in a more compassionate, balanced and joyful way.
I consider myself to be very fortunate to have stumbled across psychology, which has been my life’s work and calling and something I am so passionate about. I gain a lot of satisfaction from being able to journey with clients and to witness people increasingly access their inner strengths, improve their wellbeing and work through problems in meaningful ways.
