FEES

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees sets the rate for standard consultations of 46-60 minutes at $311.00. Consultation fees at this clinic are lower than the APS recommended rate.

The cost of a standard 50-55 minute consultation is $260.00. A concession rate of $220.00 is available for Self-funded Tertiary students/Pensioners/Individuals with Low Income. At various intervals of the year, a limited number of concession rates for financial hardship may be available. Alternatively, your GP may be able to recommend other psychology services located in the community that are government-funded, or other clinics that offer bulk billing services if you require this.

REBATES

If you have been referred for counselling by a Health Practitioner such as a GP or psychiatrist, your Health Practitioner may be able to prepare a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Scheme. Clients with a MHCP are eligible to receive a rebate of $96.65 per session for up to ten (10) therapy sessions in a year.

If you would like to claim Medicare rebates under the MHCP, please ensure you obtain a referral letter from your health practitioner, written to Jodie, dated prior to the first session you would like to claim.

You may alternatively be eligible for rebates via a Chronic Disease Management Plan (please speak to your GP about this), or via Private Health insurance. Please contact your private health insurance provider directly to find out if they offer part rebates for psychological consultations.

Unfortunately, Jodie does not currently offer treatment through external party providers such NDIS, Workcover or TAC.
